Discover your inner invertebrate

There’s a bloom-like cluster in the center, with a tail that extends from it on the left side and curls around counter clockwise, through a series of more or less repeating body segments, ending in a tail at the top left. Looks and feels a bit like a lamprey, though without the teeth. I was thinking about early Terry Winters, in a way that might be as much perpendicular as parallel.

There is an aspect to my painting practice that is more like collecting specimens than composing pictures.
