Follow through with the hard change
I painted this following a fantastic 10 days in Barcelona. The stained glass in the cathedral stuck with me. Blues and greens on the morning sun side, reds, and yellows for the afternoon. I didn’t get to see the interior in the morning, but based on what I experienced of the light flooding in during the late afternoon, I can imagine.
I had pretty much made up my mind by the end of the trip that I’d be transitioning to a full time studio practice before another year passed. At peace at the end of having to work some shit out.
