Indulge the phosphene glossolalia

When I close my eyes, it is never just dark. There are always colors and patterns there, dimly kaleidoscoping or rolling over each other like clouds. The effect is particularly striking when I wake up in the night and turn a light on and quickly back off.

Some people take melatonin or edibles to help them sleep. I don’t know if anyone actually counts sheep. As for me, I pay attention to my breathing and watch the phosphene showers streak across the inside of my eyelids.
